Our Business

Balanced Accounting Firm is a privately owned accounting practice, established on 8 February 2024 by Abinaar Moepi, CBA(SA), and later joined in partnership by Amogelang Mogapi, CA(SA). The firm operates with a clear vision: to be a leading accounting partner in Africa, empowering startups and SMEs with reliable financial systems, compliant reporting, and funding readiness to build sustainable and scalable businesses.

In line with this vision, the firm supports small and medium-sized businesses in leveraging cloud-based accounting solutions to maintain accurate financial records and strengthen financial management. Our core services include bookkeeping, Payroll, Cash flow projections, Business Planning, preparation of annual financial statements, and comprehensive support with regulatory and compliance requirements.

Since inception, we have served more than 15 individual clients, assisting with tax return submissions and ensuring full compliance with the South African Revenue Service (SARS). In addition, we have provided accounting and advisory support to over six companies across diverse industries, including fitness, hospitality, insurance, automotive, and information technology-helping them build structured, compliant, and growth-ready financial systems.

Our Team

Abinaar Moepi

CBA (SA)

Abinaar Moepi is a Chartered Business Accountant and an active member of the Chartered Institute of Business Accountants (CIBA). He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Cost and Management Accounting as well as an Advanced Diploma in Internal Auditing from the Tshwane University of Technology. He began his career at the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC), where he served as a Finance Trainee and gained experience across four finance departments: Asset Management, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Project Management. During his tenure, he contributed to more than three major projects, successfully leading one of them and providing training to his colleagues.
Owing to his strong performance, he was promoted to Finance Officer and, shortly thereafter, appointed to an acting role as Finance Manager.

Amogelang Mogapi

CA (SA)

Amogelang Mogapi is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). He holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science degree from the University of Pretoria and an Honours degree in Accounting Science from the University of South Africa.
He completed his traineeship with the Auditor-General South Africa, where he gained extensive audit experience across several public sector entities, including the Department of Correctional Services, the Department of Sport and Recreation, and the Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality. Following his traineeship, he joined the South African State Theatre as a Finance Clerk and later advanced to the position of Audit Senior.
Amogelang subsequently joined the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC), where he served as an Asset Supervisor and was later appointed Asset Manager. In this role, he played a key part in the organisation achieving clean audit outcomes for two consecutive years.
